Excited again about sending an email with a video link

If you have ever sent or received a video email that was actually embedded into the email, you may not have liked the results. I know I didn’t and that is one reason I never really sent video emails. And the other option of posting a video on youtube and then having a link to it from your email is ok for personal stuff, but not for a small business. It is not very professional.

I was excited the other day when a friend of mine told me about Talk Fusion that has streaming video hosting tied to the email with special links that allows you to track who and when someone watches your video.

I took a look and was impressed with what talkfusion had done. Now as a small business owner it makes it much more professional to send a prospect or client an email with a video you want them to watch. There are so many things I could think to do with this. For example sending training videos to your staff, then you would know when and if they watched them! Say, that could really come in handy!

Places to download MP3 Files

My last post got me thinking about lists. I’m sure there are many list of places to find MP3 files to download, some free I hope. But I haven’t had time recently to check them out. I’d also like to find free downloads from Artists who may not be known or not well known. Maybe sites that also rate these lessor known Artists. It’s late and I’m tired, but I think that will be one of my goals in the new year.

MP3 Related Freeware for Linux Machines

I’ve been browsing around for some free software that can handle some MP3 tasks on a Linux box. I ran across a posting where someone is planning to document several things that may be of interest. The post I found talks about some Linux/Unix Freeware Utilities he wants, which also includes a short list of Audio and MP3 related utilites including:

• burn an audio CD
• organize the mp3 collection
• play all mp3 files in a folder
• play real audio (.ra, .rm) files without the real software
• show song lyrics for the song playing
• And more…

He has setup a new page to documents his findings.

So I’ll be checking back there later to see what he comes up with.

Cool MP3 blogs

Here are some cool mp3 blogs I found I need to take a look at…

playerblog looks interesting but’s it’s taking forever to load. Maybe it’s me, but I’ll come back after I visit some more. I’m more of an iPod fan, but I want to learn a little more about Zune and this Zune blog looks interesting.
